After 23 years as a professional Formula race car driver, Randy Lewis and his wife, Debbie followed their love of wine and started Lewis Cellars in 1992. In 1999, their son Dennis joined them.

Lewis Cellars is a family owned business where family members are intimately involved in every phase of the production of their world class wines. Their wines are some of the most consistently high scoring wines from Napa Valley, along with a chardonnay from the Barcaglia Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.

In 2016 the Lewis 2013 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon was rated 96 Points by Wine Spectator, and selected as Wine of the Year and #1 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2016 list. When this news was revealed in December of 2016, the Lewis 2013 Napa Cabernet had been sold out for several months, and the 2014 Napa Cabernet (95 Points) sold out very quickly after the news broke.

NEW RELEASES FROM LEWIS CELLARS

The 2015 vintage for Napa Bordeaux varietals was excellent, but smaller than average. Robert Parker, Jr. from The Wine Advocate rated the vintage 97 points for North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals. Wine writer and critic, Antonio Galloni in his Vinous periodical writes, “So far, the 2015 Napa Valley Cabernets I have tasted are stunningly beautiful. Two thousand fifteen is a classic Napa Valley vintage built on opulence, texture and voluptuousness.”

Winery Notes: “Our 2015 Alec’s Blend is a lot like the Honda XR500 that Alec takes to the trails of Lefthand Canyon in Boulder, CO – big, powerful, and lots of fun. Bursting with sappy black cherry, chocolaty oak spice and Madagascar vanilla, it’s a dense and delicious blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit-driven and plush but framed in fine, polished tannins, this ride will make you smile.” $65
