The Carte Blanche Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet begins with a vineyard that has outlived generations of change. Planted in the late 19th century and rooted in Oakville’s stony soils, Missouri Hopper produces fruit shaped as much by limitation as by opportunity. That history presents in the wine itself, where concentration and structure arrive as a natural result of the land.

That inheritance is carried forward under the guidance of renowned winemaker, Helen Keplinger, whose approach is defined by precision and restraint. Rather than steering the wine toward a fixed style, she allows the vineyard to set the terms, refining texture and integration without disturbing its core identity. The result is a Cabernet that feels complete from the outset, its balance the product of thoughtful decisions rather than adjustments.
The structure reflects that same discipline. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in French oak, the wine holds firmness and polish in quiet equilibrium. The tannins are present but finely tuned, carrying the wine forward with ease, extending the finish and leaving you with a sense of composure that lingers well beyond the last sip.

Tasting Notes: "Brilliant aromas of red and black fruits, smoked tobacco, wood smoke, and crushed stone emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, it offers a lush, forward, opulent mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a lengthy finish. While not massively concentrated, the balance is spot on, showing terrific purity and no hard edges.
