2019 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
STONEMASON HILL VINEYARD

ALEXANDER VALLEY | SONOMA COUNTY

If you’ve been a fan of the wines made by Nick Goldschmidt, you’re going to be delighted with this new release of the Katherine Goldschmidt 2019 Stonemason Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley. If you haven’t tried any of his wines, don’t miss this opportunity to try one of the best value Cabernets on the market.

Designed to expose a vineyard’s most defining characteristics and deliver them with transparency, richness, intensity, and balance, Katherine Goldschmidt Cabernet offers relentless value, unprovoked by trends or production costs.

Nick Goldschmidt hand-selected Stonemason Hill Vineyard after recognizing the distinct character and terroir of the vineyard would ensure the continued stylistic goals that have made the brand so successful.

At 500 feet elevation in Alexander Valley, Stonemason Hill Vineyard is near Rattlesnake Hill and Blue Rock Vineyards, where low-yielding 31-year-old-vines grown in Sandy and Bale loam produce concentrated fruit with striking characteristics.

Nick Goldschmidt is a global winemaker with decades of experience making wine in California, New Zealand, and Argentina. He is known for crafting high quality wines that are also outstanding values.

His 2019 Stonemason Hill Cabernet is 100% single-varietal and out-performs many Cabernets at double its price.

Winery Notes: “Intense purple and reds in color. The aromatics are opulent and very floral. Black fruits of black cherry and plum were a common theme. The mouth follows with rich dark fruits of blackberry, plum, and some licorice texture. Lush ripe tannins, full body and the nice creamy velvet tongue-wrapping flavor. Drink now or over the next 10 years… if you can wait that long!”

Tasting Notes: “The Vista Reserve Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 has a gorgeous, powerful nose of blackberry pie filling, French lavender, sweet vanilla and brioche. On the palate, this opulent beauty is rich and concentrated, with a core of focused fruits and flavors including mountain blackberries, red plums, ripe blueberries, menthol, vanilla spice, and dark chocolate, all supported by fine grained fruit tannins. It is amazingly ready-to-drink now, but has the structure to cellar for a decade.”

VISTA
2018 RED WINE BLEND
ATLAS PEAK | NAPA VALLEY

$23

Tasting Notes: “While the first vintage of Vista Atlas Peak Red Blend 2017 set a new standard completely unheard of at this modest price, the Vista Atlas Peak Reserve Red Blend 2018 raises that bar even higher. It begins with aromas of crushed dark berries, creme de cassis, black plum, earthy minerals, pencil lead, dried sage, and vanilla. This beauty has an intensely concentrated palate, with blackberry purée, focused black cherries, red currants, mountain blueberries, allspice, and rocky minerals. It is a gorgeous example of Mountain fruit that is mind-bogglingly great at this price. Wow. Drink now through 2028.”
