SONOMA COAST

Dan Kosta is a trailblazer in high-quality domestic Pinot Noir, a luminary who, alongside Michael Browne, co-founded Kosta Browne Winery in 1997.

Known for his steadfast pursuit of perfection, Kosta has earned widespread acclaim through his unwavering dedication to crafting award-winning wines, including being awarded the coveted title of the #1 Wine on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2011.

Shane Finley entered the Kosta Browne winery in 2006, where he cultivated his expertise. When Dan launched Convene in 2019, he tapped into Shane’s passion and vision, appointing him as winemaker. Together, they merged their shared dedication, forging a new path in winemaking.

The inaugural release of the Campbell Ranch Vineyards Pinot Noir in the Sonoma Coast AVA combines clones 777 and 115, aged 15 months in French oak, resulting in a silky texture with savory spices, impeccable balance, and a pure, pristine character.

Tasting Notes: “Bold, ripe and fruity, this full-bodied wine offers yummy black cherry and black currant aromas followed by juicy, generous fruit flavors and moderate oak spices. Good, grippy tannins add some texture and a good dash of tangy acidity keeps lifting the fruit. Best from 2026-2032.”

RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

Tasting Notes: “Super expressive nose with wonderful ripe fruit flavours alongside butterscotch and toasty brioche. Wonderfully rich and full-bodied with plenty of salty mineral tension. Partial malolactic fermentation means the wine retains great tension, vibrancy, and freshness. Flavours run the spectrum from Meyer Lemon to apricots and white peaches. Crushed Marcona almonds are entangled in the finish, and I find this a balanced expression of California Chardonnay with the right amount of toasty richness and acidity.” 98 Points | Jonathan Cristaldi | Decanter.com

Admire Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir bottle

ADMIRE
2022 PINOT NOIR
SONOMA COAST

$32.00

alt="Add to Cart button gold"

Tasting Notes: “The Admire Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2022 begins with a deep, rich nose that includes red and black fruits, cola beans, baking spices, fresh herbs, and purple flowers. It continues on the palate with sweet black cherries, cranberries, and ripe red plums wrapped in soft, supple tannins that carry it to a long, elegant finish. These qualities allow it to be enjoyed immediately. Kudos to Dan Kosta and crew for making this high-quality easy-drinking Pinot Noir, then pricing it to be enjoyed much more regularly than its more expensive brethren.”
