PAUL HOBBS
2018 PINOT NOIR
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
Paul Hobbs knows that the personality of a vineyard is only revealed through tending each vine diligently, and vinifying the grapes with minimalist techniques that fully express the terroir.
This tried and true practice has guided him on projects that span multiple continents, and it’s a foundational reason why his name bears a quintessence of quality so distinguished that it’s known across the globe.
Paul’s Russian River Pinot Noir showcases his vast experience as a global winemaker, and it’s presented in a powerfully compelling, balanced and immensely pleasing style that everybody will love.
The 2018 Russian River Pinot Noir is carved from several of the winery’s most expressive vineyard sources that are defined by their proximity to the coast and Russian River.
These factors create cool morning and warm afternoon diurnal swings that assist the Pinot Noir fruit in developing fruit purity, richness, complexity and elegance.
Like many of Paul Hobbs wines, the 2018 Russian River was made in a larger-than-life style that captivates your taste buds enchanting flavors, classic to its origins.
Paul fermented this cuvée with 10% whole cluster, which contributed to the textural depth, body and structure of this wonderful wine.

OCCIDENTAL
(by STEVE KISTLER)
2018 PINOT NOIR
OCCIDENTAL-FREESTONE
$69.99
From RobertParker.com: “The 2018 Pinot Noir Freestone-Occidental comes mostly from younger vines at the Occidental property but is made with the same attention to detail as the other wines in the portfolio, using free-run juice. Its nose is an aromatic well, offering crushed blueberries, charcuterie, Earl Grey tea leaves, graphite, saline, bitter orange peel and potpourri aromas. In the mouth, it explodes with lush fruits that give way after their initial rush to bitter, citrusy, minerally accents. It has a fine grain, seamless freshness and long, layered finish. It’s enjoyable now but will age well over the next five to eight-plus years.”

KOSTA BROWNE
2018 PINOT NOIR
SONOMA COAST
$99.99
From JebDunnuck.com: “Brought up mostly in French oak, with a small amount in concrete, the 2018 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has that classic Sonoma Coast pretty red fruit-driven style as well as subtle white flower, spice, and even a kiss of minerality. It’s beautifully balanced and medium-bodied, with an elegant, ethereal style that still has solid structure. It will drink well for a decade.” 94 Points
