MORLET FAMILIY VINEYARDS
2015 LES PETITS
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
NAPA VALLEY
Fifth-generation winemaker Luc Morlet grew up in Avenay-Val d’Or, France, working with his family on their estate, kindling an early passion for wine and tradition.
During his university studies in Viticulture and Enology, he worked vineyards in Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Southern France, creating a traditional, time-tested technique foundation, which he brought to America.
Luc left France in 1996, joining his wife Jodie in California, bringing with him his savoir-faire of Old-World winemaking techniques, becoming known and respected in Napa and Sonoma for crafting superbly balanced, terroir focused wines.
It wasn’t long after that Luc landed a major winemaking gig when he replaced John Kongsgaard as winemaker at Newton Vineyards. In 2001 Luc joined Peter Michael Winery, continuing the legacy of Helen Turley and Mark Aubert and Crafting Peter Michael from 2001 through 2005.
His Les Petits Cabernet is a Cuvée style blend constructed from younger vines grown on many of the A-list properties where Luc sources fruit, offering the power, persistence, and balance that you’d want from a top-tier Napa Valley wine.
The Le Petits Cabernet is an impressive entry level wine to Morlet’s Cabernet Sauvignon lineup.

From Jeb Dunnuck: “Slightly deeper colored than the ’14, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Les Petits Morlet offers more black fruits, graphite, scorched earth, and tobacco. It’s another full-bodied yet finesse-driven wine from this estate that has good acidity, ripe tannin, and plenty of class. As with the 2014, it will keep for over a decade.”

From The Wine Advocate: “…Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Les Petits Morlet gives up expressive red and black currants notes with underlying hints of Chinese five spice, bay leaves, pencil lead and dark chocolate with a waft of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it coats the mouth with black fruits and red berry sparks, framed by grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and juicy…”

MASTERY
2017 PROPRIETARY RED WINE

Tasting Notes: “Mastery 2017 is one of the biggest and richest we’ve produced. It begins with a voluminous nose of muddled blueberries, red currants, violets, wet slate, butterscotch, vanilla bean, and fresh sage. The palate is rich and opulent, with a powerful blend of mixed wild berries, blackberry cobbler, cassis, and liquid minerals, all seamlessly wrapped in a compact, concentrated style. The mouthfeel is provocative, supple, and sexy, with a creamy, smooth, mouth-filling texture. It finishes intense, elegant, and very long. I’ve never lined up every vintage of Mastery to taste all at once, but this vintage would easily be at the very top of the list.“

2018 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
NAPA VALLEY
$79.99
From Wine Enthusiast: “This is such an outstanding wine at any price, but here we’re talking about outstanding value as well. Notes of iron and crushed rock lead to a lengthy balance of juicy red fruit and clove. With small amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Saint-Macaire and Cabernet Franc, it shows a deft hand at blending, with lasting notes of black pepper and nuanced oak.” 97 Points, Editors’ Choice
