Founded in 1997 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, Kosta Browne has gained a reputation for producing some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the United States, with their very first vintage in 2009 taking the Wine Spectator #1 spot in 2011.
Kosta Browne’s winemaking team, led by Julien Howsepian, focuses on superior quality fruit and vineyard expression, sourcing grapes from several A-list vineyards in the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, and Santa Lucia Highlands.

The 2021 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was sourced from eight vineyards in the northern coastal zone and the southern edge of the appellation, comprising all the unique nuances of this prized AVA and extenuating the legacy of the Kosta Browne brand name.
The 2021 Vintage was an exceptional year for Sonoma’s key Pinot Noir regions that Wine Spectator rated 96 Points on their Vintage Chart and went on to write, “Windy weather during the long blooming period led to a small crop set, but then warm and very dry conditions ripened everything evenly and easily. Producers picked at their leisure, bringing in small berries and thick skins that produced wines of concentration and structure as well as freshness and purity”
