2018 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
ESTATE GROWN
MOON MOUNTAIN DISTRICT
Kamen Estate was masterfully scripted by Robert Kamen and plotted with characters such as renowned viticulturist Phil Coturri and winemaker Mark Herold.
Set in the Southern Mayacamas mountains where cutting-edge grape growing meets skilled winemaking, resulting in this timeless classic. Perennially high-scoring, Kamen’s 2018 Estate Cabernet is riveting from start to finish, and at around $100, this is a blockbuster you won’t want to miss.
Talented screenwriter Robert Kamen wrote a number of classics including; The Karate Kid series, Fifth Element, Transporter series, A Walk in the Clouds, Lethal Weapon III, and the list goes on. After selling his first screenplay, Robert visited some friends in Sonoma and discovered this gorgeous 280 acre property on Moon Mountain. Robert fell in love with the panoramic views and bought the property.
Carved into volcanic-lava and nutrient deficient soils at 1100–1450 elevation, Kamen’s Estate Vineyard produces powerfully expressive, story-telling fruit, guided by Phil Coturri, one of wine country’s most sought-after viticulturists. The vineyard is Certified Organic & Biodynamic.
The 2018 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon was directed by Mark Herold, whose Doctorate in Ecology, and vast experience crafting some of California’s top wines is unmistakeable in this wine.

ESTATE GROWN
MOON MOUNTAIN DISTRICT
$99.99
From Wine Spectator: “Offers alluring warm plum sauce and crushed açaí berry aromas and flavors that move through this with focus despite the rather lush feel. Subtle alder and sage accents line the finish, with a nice underpinning of iron. Distinctive in feel and profile. Drink now through 2030.”

2015 SLOPE
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
$75
From Jeb Dunnuck: “The 2015 Slope is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, and it’s not far off the flagship with its awesome bouquet of blackcurrants, crushed rocks, graphite, and tobacco. It’s deep, concentrated, has beautiful sweetness of fruit, and the classic earthiness and minerality that common from the wines of this great estate. Aged 28 months in 75% new French oak, it can be drunk today with incredible pleasure or cellared for two decades.”

From Jeb Dunnuck: “The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Savory Estate comes all from a great, higher elevation vineyard on Howell Mountain and checks in as 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Cabernet Franc. It spent 27 months in French oak prior to bottling, and there are a scant 125 cases made. This sensational effort boasts a dense, inky color as well as a kaleidoscope-like array of blueberries, blackcurrant liqueur, bay leaf, iron, and an almost bloody, meaty character that’s hard to describe. The palate doesn’t lose a beat and is full-bodied, deep, concentrated, and structured, yet also ethereal and elegant. This is mountain Cabernet at its finest! It has some upfront appeal already, yet my money is on it benefiting from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruising for 25-30 years. Hello, beautiful!”
