2016 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
NAPA VALLEY
Ric Forman had always dreamt of being the sole proprietor of a boutique winery focused on making small quantities of wine by personally tending to and nurturing the fruit himself.
He believes that his philosophy and hands-on approach are integral to his success in crafting the finest wines possible in Napa Valley.
Ric is one of Napa Valley’s most accomplished winemakers, credited for introducing the first vintage-dated Merlot in California, along with Dick Graff; Rick was the long-time winemaker at Sterling Vineyards, gaining experience at Newton Vineyards and Duckhorn as well.
Fascinated and passionate early on from experience in the great vineyards of Bordeaux, Ric’s old-world style Cabernet Sauvignon-dominate blend is complex, balanced, and simply beautiful.
This wine is aged 22 months in French oak within deep caves designed underneath the sloping hillsides to maintain the perfect temperature and humidity, and the wine speaks for itself, having already scored 96+ points by Antonio Galloni’s Vinous Media.

From Vinous Media: “The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is silky and elegant, with lovely aromatic presence and impeccable balance. Sweet tobacco, cedar, dried flowers and mint all give this mid-weight Cabernet lovely complexity and nuance. The 2018 has shut down since I tasted it last year, but that is not surprising given the style here. Today, bright acids give the 2018 energy, tension and a good deal of precision. Those qualities should help the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon age well over the coming decades.” 96+ Points -Antonio Galloni
