Meet TEN ACRE WINERY
Proprietors Scott and Lynn Adams launched Bella Vineyards & Wine Caves in 1999, a very successful and premium Dry Creek Valley winery specializing in Zinfandel and Rhone varietal wines.
Since 2002, Scott & Lynn have lived with their two daughters on their “slice of heaven”, a small 10-acre vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Since this is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay country, they drew their inspiration from their home vineyard to craft the world-class TEN ACRE wines.
The Team: To help them make the finest wines possible, Scott and Lynn enlisted some top talent in the industry.
Winemaker Michael Zardo knows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. For nine years he worked along side Gary and Jeff Pisoni as the assistant winemaker at PISONI Vineyards and Winery (including the famed LUCIA Wines). Before that he worked at the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay-focused Bernardus Winery.
In the vineyard, not too many people know grape growing better than Charlie Chenoweth. He is considered one of the top growers and vineyard managers in the north coast region of California, especially for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Just ask the folks at Kosta Browne and Patz and Hall, to name a couple.

Russian River Valley

The Russian River Valley pinot noir is a thoughtful selection of barrels from Ten Acre’s Russian River Valley wines. These barrels are chosen as the most representative of this fog-blanketed valley in bouquet, flavor and texture.
Individual barrels are selected from each lot of single-vineyard Russian River pinot noir to create a compelling and complex final blend that captures the best essence of pinot noir from the region.
The Russian River Valley has long been renowned for producing pinot noir fruit of the highest caliber, and this remarkable blend exemplifies the region’s lush, approachable style.
It immediately greets the nose with ripe aromas of candied cherry and sweet molasses, while its silky texture and delightfully round mouthfeel entice the palate for another sip.

This vibrant expression of Pinot Noir comes from select vineyards in the cool-climate region of the Sonoma Coast appellation, characterized by rugged soils, Pacific fog influences, and brutal winds.
The grapes struggle in this environment, resulting in intense, complex, and flavorful fruit that exhibit the true terroir of its origins.
The wine is round and supple, expansive and mouth filling. Aromas and flavors of strawberry-rhubarb pie, black tea and exotic spices emerge in layers. Luxurious on the palate with a silky mouth feel, framed by prominent, fine-grained tannins and racy acidity. 250 cases produced
