Appearing on the Wine Spectator Top 100 list on five separate occasions… Quilceda Creek’s iconic Cabernet Sauvignon helped put Washington’s Columbia Valley AVA on the map.

With scores so high, double digits couldn’t quite reflect them, Quilceda Creek’s tightly allocated Columbia Valley Cabernet retails for well over $200/btl. At under $100/btl their CVR Cabernet Blend had our entire tasting panel in awe over it’s satiny, decadent texture that slowly gives way to a vivid display of crushed violets, black plum, dark spices and chocolate dipped raspberries.

Making a dramatic entrance from a stellar vintage, and while the scores may not be out yet on the 2015, history shows it’s going to be high.

Checking in with a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, this remarkable achievement spends around 20 months in French oak barrels before bottling.

Combining components from Champoux, Palengat, Galitzine, and Wallula Gap Vineyards, the 2015 CVR is exhilarating to swirl, taste and enjoy.

Winery Notes: “The 2015 Quilceda Creek “CVR” Columbia Valley Red Wine is a wonderful preview into the incredible 2015 vintage. A combination of all our vineyard sites, it is filled with satisfying red and blue fruits, smoke, spice and minerals. One of the best CVRs to date, it is the first vintage of CVR that will bear the new label showing an iridescent black version of the classic gold Quilceda Creek label. This blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot will be best enjoyed over the next 15 years.”
